What does ACC cover?
ACC may cover part of the cost of dental treatment after:
- Accidents: slips, falls or other accidents that damage your teeth or jaw
- Sports injuries: dental injuries from contact sports
- Workplace accidents: injuries to the teeth or jaw at work
- Assault or trauma: injuries caused by an external force
How it works
- Assessment: come in as soon as possible after the injury so we can assess the damage and whether it is likely to be covered
- Claim: we can lodge your ACC claim for you, or work with an existing claim
- Treatment plan: once ACC has processed the claim, we explain your treatment plan and any costs ACC does not cover
- Treatment and recovery: we restore your smile and oral health
